Prevention Bureau - The Arson Prevention Bureau was established
in 1991 to spearhead and co-ordinate a national campaign to reduce arson,
raise awareness of the problem and bring together public and private
sector organisations sharing these objectives. The Bureau has been supported
by insurers through the Association of British Insurers, and received
some funding from the Home Office in the initial years. The Bureau is
an active partner in the Arson Control Forum, set up by the British
Government in 2001 to lead the fight against arson.
USFA
the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) - As an entity of the Department
of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the
mission of the USFA is to reduce life and economic losses due to fire
and related emergencies, through leadership, advocacy, coordination,
and support. They serve the United States independently, in coordination
with other Federal agencies, and in partnership with fire protection
and emergency service communities. With a commitment to excellence,
their staff provides public education, training, technology and data
initiatives.
